| The CREATININE is, a kinetic method , used for the quantitative determination of creatinine concentration in serum. |
| PRINCIPLE : |
| Creatinine + Alkaline picrate --------> Creatinine-Picrate complex |
| Creatinine in serum reacts with picric acid i n alkaline conditions to form a color complex which absorbs at 510nm. The rate of formation of color is proportional to the creatinine concentration in the sample. |
