| The CSF & URINE PROTEIN is, an end point method, used for the quantitative determination of total protein in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) or urine. |
| PRINCIPLE : |
| Protein +Coomossie brillant blue dye ---------> Protein-dye complex |
| The CSF and urine protein binds selectively to the dye coomossie brillant blue. The increase in absorbance of the resulting protein-dye complex, read at 600 nm, is proportional to the protein concentration. |
